Most monogamous marriages by a male

The greatest number of marriages contracted by one person in the monogamous world is 29, by former Baptist minister Glynn `Scotty' Wolfe (USA, 1908 - 1997),  who first married in 1927 and believed he had a total of 41 children. His last wife was Linda Essex (USA), who happens to hold the record for most marriages by a female. They married in June 1996, most likely as a PR stunt, but he died alone in a nursing home at the age of 88, just 10 days before their first anniversary. Wolfe's 33-year-old son, John Glenn Wolfe, said his father married so often because he was against 'living in sin'.
