The first African American to achieve the EGOT (male) is John Legend (USA) who achieved the feat on 9 September 2018.


John has won two Emmys, one Primtetime and won Creative Arts, 11 Grammys, one Oscar, and one Tony award. Aside from being the first African American male to achieve the EGOT, he is also the second youngest and the first to do so in consecutive years.
