First royal to catch Covid-19

On 19 March 2020, it was announced that Albert II, Prince of Monaco (aka Albert Alexandre Louis Pierre Grimaldi), had tested positive for coronavirus. He isolated himself, but continued to carry out his royal duties from within the confines of his private apartment in the palace. On 31 March, news broke of the monarch's full recovery, although he continued to endure bouts of extreme fatigue for several more months.
