The record crowd for a Gaelic Football game is 90,556 for the Down v. Offaly All-Ireland Senior Football Championship final at Croke Park, Dublin, on 24 September 1961.
Down won the game 3-6 vs 2-8 - it was their second win from as many appearances in the final. Croke Park was reonvated in 2004 and the current capacity has been reduced to 82,300, it is still the fourth largest stadium in Europe only surpassed by Wembley (London), the Camp Nou (Barcelona) and the Santiago Bernabeu (Madrid).
