This record title has been closely fought since the 7,541-piece Ultimate Collector Series set launched in 2017, with builders assembling every panel and gold-plated detail from scratch without pre-sorting pieces. It previously belonged to Ivan Yu (Canada), who completed the build in 7 hr 36 min 37 sec in December 2023, after earlier holders Luke Chapman and Joshua LaFrance brought the time down from over 21 hours to just over 10. Herrscher's run shaves roughly nine and a half minutes off Yu's mark, continuing the steady push by LEGO speed-builders to bring this famously massive model's construction time down bit by bit.
