The fewest fights to win a boxing world title by a male is three, achieved by Saensak Muangsurin (Thailand) on 15 July 1975; and equalled by Vasyl Lomachenko (Ukraine) on 21 June 2014.

Saensak Muangsurin won the WBC world super lightweight crown on 15 July 1975, just 241 days after his professional debut. He stopped his opponent, title holder Perico Fernandez, in the eighth round at the Hua Mark Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. Lomachenko won the vacant WBO world featherweight crown by outpointing Gary Russell Jr over 12 rounds at the StubHub Centre in Carson, California, USA.
