It has since been equalled by Ronny Weller (Germany) in 1988 to 2000 and most recently by Pyrros Dimas (Greece) and Nikolai Pechalov (Bulgaria/Croatia) from 1992 to 2004. Nikolai Pechalov (or Nikolaj Pešalov) won silver and bronze for Bulgaria in 1992 and 1996, he was since granted Croatian citizenship and won gold and bronze in 2000 and 2004.
