The most Olympic Weightlifting medals won are four and was first achieved by Norbert Schemansky (USA) (b. May 30, 1924) between 1948 and 1964. It has since been equalled by Ronny Weller (Germany) in 1988 to 2000 and most recently by Pyrros Dimas (Greece) and Nikolai Pechalov (Bulgaria/Croatia) from 1992 to 2004.
Nikolai Pechalov (or Nikolaj Pešalov) won silver and bronze for Bulgaria in 1992 and 1996, he was since granted Croatian citizenship and won gold and bronze in 2000 and 2004. Ronny Weller won 1 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze. Norbert Schemansky won 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze while Pyros Dimas won 3 gold and 1 bronze.
