The longest running iceberg patrol has been active for 106 years, and was achieved by the International Ice Patrol (USA, est. 30 January 1914), as of January 2020.
Since its inception, the IIP has conducted each season - except during the World Wars. It is operated by the United States Coast Guard but has been funded by nations across the world, including Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Norway, Panama, Poland, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the USA.
