As of its most recent chart week (9 January 2020), Michael Bublé’s (Canada/Italy) 2011 album Christmas had sold 3 million copies in the UK, according to the Official Charts Company (OCC).

Bublé’s album, which spent three non-consecutive weeks at No.1 in November/December 2011, fought off competition from Rod Stewart’s Merry Christmas Baby (2012; 636,000 copies sold), Cliff Richard’s Cliff at Christmas (2003; 409,000 copies sold) and Mariah Carey’s Merry Christmas (1994; 311,000 copies sold) to land at the top of a December 2018 survey by the Official Charts Company which put UK sales of Christmas at 2.78 million.

Christmas has returned to the UK Top 10 every year since its release with the exception of 2015, when it peaked at No.12. On 2 January 2020, the album climbed to No.2 – its highest chart placing since 15 December 2012. As of 9 January 2020, Christmas had logged 39 weeks in the UK Top 10, 64 weeks in the Top 20 and 81 weeks in the Top 100.

The album’s precise sales total was 3,030,043 as of 9 January 2020, according to OCC figures.

Bublé’s seventh studio album features his takes on “All I Want for Christmas Is You”, “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas”, “Jingle Bells” and “White Christmas”, as well as a new track, “Cold December Night”, co-written by the ever-popular vocalist.

Christmas has sold more than 12 million copies worldwide, including 4.3 million in the US.
