Beyoncé (b. Beyoncé Knowles) and Jay-Z (b. Shawn Carter) scooped 51 Grammys combined between 1999 and 2021. Beyoncé’s 28 awards – the most Grammys won by a female artist – were collected between 2001 and 2021, while Jay-Z landed 23 awards between 1999 and 2021. The American A-listers, who tied the knot at a secret ceremony on 4 April 2008, also have a combined total of 159 nominations (Jay-Z 80, Beyoncé 79).

Excluding Grammys won before their marriage (i.e., excluding trophies received before the 51st Annual Grammy Awards on 8 February 2009), the couple’s tally stood at 35 (Beyoncé 18, Jay-Z 17) as of 14 March 2021.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z have won six Grammys together: Best R&B Song and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for “Crazy in Love” (2004); Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance for “Drunk in Love” (2015); Best Urban Contemporary Album for Everything Is Love (as The Carters, 2019); and Best Rap Song for Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage” (Beyoncé as featured artist, Jay-Z as songwriter, 2021).

At the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards on 14 March 2021, Best Music Video was won by “Brown Skin Girl”, Beyoncé’s collaboration with SAINt JHN, Wizkid and her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter. Including this win, all three individual members of the Carter family have accumulated 52 Grammys combined.
