The greatest distance by electric motorcycle on a single charge is 673 km (418.18 m), and was achieved by Jean Francois Reumaux and Nathanael Maury (both France), in Vientiane, Laos, on 20 February 2023.
Jean Francois and Nathanael are both bike enthusiasts. They avoid petrol usage in their daily life by swapping out cars for electric bikes.
During the COVID-19 lockdown, they used the free time as an opportunity to reassess their bike business in Laos. The pair had previous experience building and modding bikes and following a petrol shortage, they had a goal to extend their bike's battery range which coincidentally went hand in hand with their world record attempt.
