The highest capacity natural gas power facility is Dubai Electricity and Water Authority power generation & water desalination complex located in Jebel Ali, Dubai, UAE. The last phase of this development was completed in December 2018 with a total electricity generation of 9,547 MW”.
The expansion project involved the installation of two additional gas turbine generators, as well as two heat recovery steam turbine generators and one back pressure steam turbine.
DEWA’s installed power capacity was set to reach 10,356 MW with the completion of the expansion. It currently has an installed capacity of 9,547 MW of electricity and 470MIGD of desalinated water.
