The first married couple to become Squash World Champions are Raneem El Welily (Egypt) who won the title in Manchester, UK, on 17 December 2017, and Tarek Momen (Egypt) who won the title in Doha, Qatar, on 15 November 2019.
El Welily won her world title beating fellow Egyptian Nour El Sherbini in 2017, whereas her husband, Momen, saw off New Zealand's Paul Coll to claim his in 2019.
