The most Major League Baseball (MLB) teams played for in one season is five, first achieved by Oliver Drake (USA) who pitched in relief for the Milwaukee Brewers, Cleveland Indians, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Toronto Blue Jays (CAN) and Minnesota Twins during the 2018 season. This record was matched in 2024 by Mike Baumann (USA), who pitched in relief for the Baltimore Orioles, Seattle Mariners, San Francisco Giants, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, and Miami Marlins, and in 2025 by José Ureña (Dominican Republic), who pitched in relief for the New York Mets, Toronto Blue Jays (Canada), Los Angeles Dodgers, Minnesota Twins, and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

Coincidentally, all three pitchers (Drake, Baumann, and Urena) are relief pitchers.
