At 39 years 20 days, Jamal Crawford (b. 20 March 1980) became the oldest player to score 50 or more points in a game when he recorded 51 while playing for the Phoenix Suns in a 120-109 loss to the Dallas Mavericks on 9 April 2019, surpassing the previous record set by Michael Jordan (38 years, 315 days) on Dec. 29, 2001.
