The oldest "Time Person of the Year" is Joe Biden (USA, b. 20 November 1942) aged 78 years 32 days, who was named alongside running mate Kamala Harris (USA) on the cover of the magazine's 21 December 2020 issue.


TIME has named a "Person of the Year" since 1927. Announcing the cover, TIME tweeted "The Biden-Harris ticket represents something historic."

The other finalists were frontline healthcare workers and Dr Anthony Fauci (USA), the racial justice movement, and Donald Trump (USA).
