Roger Federer (Switzerland) served 50 aces during a record-shattering Wimbledon final on 5 July 2009. Federer took a record 15th Grand Slam title by defeating Andy Roddick 5-7, 7-6, 7-6, 3-6, 16-14 in a match lasting 4 hours 17 minutes.

Croatia’s Ivo Karlović holds the record for the most aces served in any match at Wimbledon – 51.

By comparison, Federer served "just" 25 aces in the 68-game 2019 Wimbledon final, when Djokovic prevailed in a final-set tie-break after 4 hours 57 minutes.
