Roger Federer (Switzerland) won 10 grass-court singles titles in a row in 2003–08. The run featured tournament victories at Germany’s Halle Open in 2003–06 and 2008 and at Wimbledon in 2003–07, with his five-set defeat to Rafael Nadal in the memorable 2008 Wimbledon final bringing the sequence to an end.
Federer won 65 consecutive matches on grass in 2003–08, and received a walkover in a 66th match.
The second win of Federer’s 10-match streak, at Wimbledon in 2003, marked the first of his 20 Grand Slam singles titles – a male record as of 8 September 2019.
