Between 2006 and 2015, Roger Federer (Switzerland) reached the final of every Swiss Indoors tournament, held at the St Jakobshalle in Basel, Switzerland. Federer won seven of the 10 finals he contested (2006–08, 2010–11, 2014–15).

On 27 October 2019, Federer won his 10th Swiss Indoors title, defeating Alex de Minaur 6-2, 6-2. In doing so, he became the first player to win 10 titles on two different surfaces (he achieved 10 wins on grass at the Halle Open in 2003–19), and the first player to contest 15 finals at a single tournament (2000–01, 2006–15, 2017–19).
