Ildefonso Lima Solà, who captains Andorra, made his debut on 22 June 1997, in what was only the country's second ever official fixture. He marked his debut with a goal, in a game which Andorra lost 1–4 against Estonia.

Lima Solà was the second Andorran to reach 100 international caps and at the time of achieving the record has 133 caps to his name.

His club career has seen him play in Andorra, Italy, Spain and Switzerland.
