Jessika Robson (UK, b. 30 March 2006) swam across the North Channel from Northern Ireland to Scotland, UK, on 9 September 2023 aged 17 years 163 days, as verified by the Irish Long Distance Swimming Association. She departed from Donaghadee, County Down and ended at Portpatrick, Dumfries and Galloway, completing the journey in 11 hours 46 minutes. She was piloted by Jacqueline McClelland.


As per ILDSA rules, the route must follow the Admiralty Chart 2198, Southern Part, which measures 18.6 nautical miles (21.5 mi; 35 km).

Robson surpassed Anshuman Jhingran (India, b. 13 March 2005), who swam from Northern Ireland to Scotland on 17 July 2023 aged 18 years 126 days in 11 hours 28 minutes 52 seconds. Jhingran remains the youngest male to have swam the route to date.
