The oldest person to complete the Triple Crown of Lake Monster Swims is Pat Gallant-Charette (USA, b. 2 February 1951), who was aged 68 years 180 days when she completed a 40.2-kilometre (25-mile) south-to-north swim across Lake Memphremagog on the US-Canada border on 1 August 2019. She departed from Newport, Vermont, USA, at 10.11 p.m. local time on 31 July 2019 and finished at Magog, Quebec, Canada, at 10.19 p.m. the following day – a total swim time of 24 hours 8 minutes. All the swims were completed under the rules of the Marathon Swimmers Federation and have been endorsed by the World Open Water Swimming Association.
The Triple Crown of Lake Monster Swims (aka the "Cryptozoological Triple Crown") involves traversing three lakes that are renowned for harbouring a mythical beast: Loch Ness in Scotland, UK ("Nessie"/"Loch Ness Monster"); Lake Tahoe on the California-Nevada border, USA ("Tessie"/ "Tahoe Tessie"); and Lake Memphremagog straddling the border of Vermont, USA, and Quebec, Canada ("Memphre").
Pat also holds the record of being the oldest person to swim the length of Loch Ness, aged 67 years 198 days on 19 August 2018.
