The oldest male to swim the Leme-Pontal Crossing in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is Eduardo Assis (Brazil, b. 10 October 1958) aged 67 years 137 days on 24 February 2026, as ratified by the Leme to Pontal Swimming Association.

The Travessia do Leme ao Pontal (Leme-Pontal Crossing) is a 36-km (22.3-mi) marathon swim in the Atlantic Ocean between the districts of Leme and Pontal in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Assis's total swim time was 12 hours 27 minutes, setting out from Leme beach at 12.44 a.m. and arriving at Pontal beach at 1.11 p.m. local time. The journey was piloted by Tiago Alberto da Silva and was invigilated by Adherbal de Oliveira of the Leme to Pontal Swimming Association.

This surpassed the previous record holder Edson Clayton Pereira Vianna (Brazil, b. 13 May 1962) who was aged 62 years 81 days when he made the swim on 2 August 2024.
