The first person to perform a skydive into the jet stream is Marc Hauser (Switzerland) in Forbes, Australia, on 30 June 2018.


The jet stream is a fast flowing, meandering air current in the atmosphere which can reach wind speeds of up to 250 mph. Marc reached an altitude of 7,400 m (24,300 ft) in a hot air balloon before performing the skydive.
