The largest hole digging championship consists of 1,452 participants, and was achieved by Narita Dream Farm (Japan) in Narita, Chiba, Japan, on 2 February 2020.
This year was the championship's 20th anniversary. Participants competed in teams to see who can dig the deepest hole within each category. All except for the Humour category, which saw competitors create the most interesting hole/art piece.
