Brusco (b. 20 February 1997) earned 89.66 points from his successful land, although this was not enough for him to win the event; he instead took home the silver medal, losing out to Elliot Sloan, who earned 91.66 points on his final run. Brusco is nevertheless a Summer X Games gold medallist, winning the Skateboard Big Air at U.S. Bank Stadium in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota, in July 2018. The Big Air competition involves launching off a ramp into a large quarter-pipe then performing a trick or tricks before making a steady landing; points are awarded based on the complexity of the trick(s), the height and length reached, and the cleanness of the landing.
