The outsized Ratha Yatra chariot is reconstructed every year and is a tradition spanning more than 300 years. The chariot festival is a part of the religious practice in Hindu culture.
The chariot took nearly 100 days to build and cost a whopping 10,000,000 INR (that's approximately 100,273 GBP and 135,545 USD). Sadly the festival this year in 2020 could not be observed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
