The largest ceviche tasting event is 1,000 participants, and was achieved by Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola, Marina de Guerra del Perú and CMO Group (all Peru), at Base Naval del Callao, in Callao, Peru, on 19 October 2019.
The participants were able to taste three different ceviches:
1. Charela fish, lime, coriander, chili and onions
2. Ají amarillo, Cachema fish, lemon and drop pepper
3. Rocoto (sometimes called Rukutu) and lengueta fish
In total, they used around 63 kg of fish and samples weighted 85 g (3 oz) each. The tasting was led by the chef Adolfo Perret.
