Attack on Titan (MBS, Japan; 2013–present) was the most popular anime TV show in the world in 2022–23, according to data-science firm Parrot Analytics, with a global demand rating 68.2 times greater than that of the average TV show.
The series premiered on 7 April 2013 and to date has released four seasons. In 2022–23, Attack on Titan was also the most in-demand animated TV show.
The series is set in a dystopian future where what remains of the human race lives within three divided cities. The population is threatened by gigantic humanoid Titans, which devour humans. When one of the city's walls is breached, the hero Eren and his friends team up with the elite Scout Regiment to fight back.
