The fastest time to reach the peaks of both Lhotse and Everest by a female climber is 21 hours 30 minutes by Qu Jiao-Jiao (China) on 20–21 May 2018. Qu arrived at the summit of Lhotse 8:20 a.m. on 20 May, then made it to the top of Everest by 5:50 a.m. the following day.

Qu Jiao-Jiao (b. 9 June 1989), from Shenzhen, had harboured a desire to climb Everest from the age of 12, after seeing a news report about a local entrepreneur who had summited the world's highest mountain.
