On 20 February 2019 EA announced the release of the first rifle to be added to its battle royale shooter Apex Legends (2019). The Havoc rifle was featured in a teasing trailer and the weapon became live the same day. The gun accepts two hop-up attachments to enhance it – including the "Select Fire" hop-up that makes the weapon fully automatic and the "Turbocharger" hop-up that speeds up how long it takes to charge the rifle’s powerful beam blast.
