Despite Yakuza's reputation for being mainly available on the PS3 and PS4, it did once venture onto another company's console. In 2013, a remaster of the first two games, titled 'Ryū ga Gotoku 1&2 HD for Wii U' appeared on the Nintendo Wii U, and only available in Japan. It marked the first and last time the franchise has seen the light of day on a non-Sony console.
