“Flowers” by Miley Cyrus (USA) had registered 100 million filtered streams on Spotify by 20 January 2023 – the eighth day after its worldwide release on 13 January – according to Spotify’s “Daily Top Songs Global” chart. Despite a relatively slow start which resulted in "just" 7.71 million streams in the first 24 hours and 17.34 million in the first two days, by 19 January “Flowers” had racked up 96.03 million plays and went over the 100-million threshold with another 18.42 million streams on 20 January. Previous holder, Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drivers License”, hit 100 million on the 10th day after its release on 8 January 2021, while “Seven” by Jung Kook matched Cyrus’ eighth-day mark on 21 July 2023 after 89.74 million filtered streams in the first seven days.


96,032,624 – as of 19 January 2023, the most streamed track ever on Spotify in one week. In the two weeks that followed, “Flowers” smashed its own record: 115,156,896 streams on 26 January and 104,380,337 on 2 February. 18,424,325 on 20 January 2023 – the fourth most streamed track ever on Spotify in 24 hours. Only tracks by Mariah Carey (21.27 million), Adele (19.74 million) and Wham! (19.07 million) have more plays in a 24-hour period to date.
