The most rotations of a hula hoop around the nose in one minute is 67, and was achieved by K. Gokulnath (India) in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India on 11 July 2020.

Gokulnath has been studying flow arts for past ten years, with a special interesting in hula hooping. This gave Gokulnath the idea to attempt for Guinness World Records title. Gokulnath, who is completely self taught in the art of hula hooping, trained for two hours a day in order to achieve a record worthy attempt. Golkunath tried many different variations of hoops for this attempt until he found the ones that would help him achieve his goal. Gokulnath would like to inspire a self confidence in those people who are struggling with mental health during the current pandemic.
