While Chun-Li from Street Fighter (3rd Strike) had postage stamps dedicated to her in 1999, Lara Croft became the first lead female action hero to get the treatment. Lara’s philatelist treasure was part of a set which also included Mario, Link, Rayman and the Prince of Persia, launched in France in 2005, collectively known as the Héros des Jeux Video. Lara’s depiction is from the most recent Tomb Raider outing of the time: The Angel of Darkness (June, 2003).
