Fifteen years before Simon Belmont debuted in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for Switch in 2018, the iconic vampire hunter fought in DreamMix TV: World Fighters (jointly published by Konami, Takara and Hudson) on GameCube and PlayStation 2. It was similar to Smash Bros.; a crossover fighting game that boasted A-Listers from Konami (Castlevania, Gradius, TwinBee) Hudson Soft (Bomberman, Adventure Island) and Takara (Beyblade, Cy Girls, Transformers). Sadly, DreamMix TV was only ever available in Japan, released on 18 December 2003.
