Best-selling Mega Man game

The most recent release in Capcom’s venerable Mega Man series, Mega Man 11 (2018), had sold 2 million units as of 25 February 2025, with 1 million of those coming in its first week alone. This neatly snatches the record from the previous holder Mega Man 2, which had sold 1.51 million units since its release in 1988. A case of the hare beating the tortoise this time!

This figure was provided by Capcom to investors as a package of 'Platinum' titles in their catalogue - games that had sold more than a million units.
