The Around the World in 50 Floors” is a social art project conceived by Allianz S.p.A. and its corporate foundation “Allianz UMANA MENTE Foundation”. This initiative, developed in partnership with the Orticanoodles Artistic Group and the Arrigo and Pia Pini Foundation, is a project that uses art as a vehicle for fostering social inclusion of people with disabilities and youths in difficult economic and social situations. Allianz S.p.A. and the “Allianz UMANA MENTE Foundation” encourage Allianz Group employees to participate in various social initiatives: for this reason, they involved many Allianz employees in painting the mural. To realize a permanent mural work on the stairwell walls of the Allianz Tower in Milan. The topic of “Around the World in 50 Floors, refers to fact that each of the 53 floors (including B1-Lower Hall, 0-Cut Floor, 0-Upper Hall, 24 Technical Floor) show the skyline and historical architectural hightlights of the world's major cities, as well as Allianz iconic structures, such as Allianz towers and stadiums, which caracterize some of these cities (for example, Turin, Munich, Nice, Sao Paulo, Singapore etc.) in the 5 continents. Each floor is dedicated to a specific city and every ten floors to a continent. The colour of the skyline recalls the Allianz corporate blue, while the background shapes reflect the colour of the carpet inside of the meeting rooms of that floor.
