The tallest dam on soft ground is the Wuping Reservoir Dam, which measures 52 m (170.6 ft) and was achieved by CPC Huaping County Committee and People's Government of Huaping County (both China) in Lijiang, Yunan, China, on 8 May 2020.
The tallest dam on soft ground was completed on 20 January 2002 began operations in June 2002. The top of dam is 214.5 m (703 ft 9 in) long and 8 m (26 ft 3 in) wide.
