The largest number of remote operated multirotors/drones launching fireworks simultaneously is 671 and was accomplished by THE EMIRATE OF RAS AL KHAIMAH (UAE) in association with Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (UAE), on Al Marjan Island, Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, on 1 January 2023.
The attempt was made to bring in the New Year with the drones releasing the fireworks within 5 seconds of each other to read “HAPPY NEW YEAR 2023”. The display also marked the start of the fireworks display in the bay of Marjan Island.
