The fastest hat-trick from kick-off in a FIFA World Cup match was scored by Carli Lloyd (USA) in the final of the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup on 5 July 2015 at BC Place in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Lloyd scored three times in the opening 16 minutes as the USA raced into a 4–0 lead against Japan.

Lloyd’s first goal, after 2 minutes 34 seconds, was the fastest goal in a FIFA Women’s World Cup final. She completed her hat-trick in style by chipping the Japanese goalkeeper from near the halfway line. The previous fastest World Cup hat-trick from kick-off was 24 minutes, hit by Erich Probst for Austria against Czechoslovakia on 19 June 1954.
