On 30 September 2018, Hilaree Nelson and Jim Morrison (both USA) climbed Lhotse (8,516 m; 27,940 ft), the world's fourth tallest mountain, and, from its summit, skied down the Lhotse Couloir all the way to Camp 2 at 6,400 meters (21,000 ft).
In 2007, American Jamie Laidlaw partially skied the couloir.
