“Meant to Be”, by Florida Georgia Line feat. Bebe Rexha (both USA), spent 50 consecutive weeks atop Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart between 16 December 2017 and 17 November 2018. The country/pop collaboration took the title from Sam Hunt’s 2017 hit “Body Like a Back Road” on 4 August 2018, when “Meant” crowned the countdown for a 35th week straight.

As of 17 November 2018, 33 different tracks – including “Meant” on 28 April 2018 – had spent time at No.1 on Billboard’s sister chart, Country Airplay, since Florida Georgia Line and Rexha went to No.1 on Hot Country Songs on 16 December 2017.

With “Meant to Be” alone, Bebe Rexha spent more cumulative weeks at No.1 than any other female in the history of the Hot Country Songs chart, ahead of Tammy Wynette (37 weeks from 20 No.1s in 1967-77).

On 17 November 2018, Florida Georgia Line spent a record-extending 106th cumulative week at No.1 on Hot Country Songs when “Meant to Be” registered its 50th and final week at the top.

Hot Country Songs, then known as “Hot C&W Sides”, was first published on 20 October 1958.
