Jang Woo-jin (South Korea) won an unprecedented three titles at the ITTF World Tour Platinum Korea Open in Daejeon, South Korea, from 19–22 July 2018. On 21 July, he claimed an historic gold medal in the mixed doubles alongside North Korea’s Cha Hyo-sim – the first ITTF World Tour title for a unified Korean team. The next day, Woo-jin added the men’s doubles title, alongside Lim Jong-hoon, before defeating Liang Jinkun in four straight games to win the men’s singles.
