Chris Gayle (Jamaica) scored 146 not out for the Rangpur Riders against the Dhaka Dynamites in the final of the Bangladesh Premier League at Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on 12 December 2017 – the highest score by a player in any international or domestic Twenty20 final.

Gayle’s innings featured 18 sixes (108 runs) – the most sixes by a player in a Twenty20 innings (male).

His unbroken 201-run, second-wicket partnership with New Zealand’s Brendon McCullum is the highest stand in any Twenty20 final.

It was Gayle’s 20th Twenty20 ton of his career, which, combined, have produced 227 sixes (an average of 11.35 sixes per innings). As of 12 December 2017, Gayle had scored an unrivalled 11,056 runs in 320 Twenty20 matches (314 innings) around the world – including 819 sixes (4,914 runs). The hard-hitting left-hander's tally includes runs in domestic Twenty20 competitions in Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Pakistan, South Africa and Zimbabwe, plus stints in the Caribbean Premier League and his international career with the West Indies, which had produced 1,577 runs in 52 games (49 innings) as of the same date.
