The fastest crossing of the Salar de Uyuni on foot is 33 hr 4 min 10 sec and was achieved by Valmor Giuseppe Leonardo (Brazil), from 10 May 2023 to 11 May 2023.

In 2019, Valmor toured Bolivia, exploring La Paz, Titicaca, the Inca Trail, Machu Picchu, and concluding with a 3-day journey through the expansive salt desert, Salar de Uyuni.

The vast, flat landscape of salt left a lasting impression, inspiring him to return and undertake a remarkable challenge.

Four years later, following the pandemic, he meticulously planned, trained, and coordinated the realization of his dream: traversing the salt desert in its entirety. The ambitious goal was to walk a straight line from Llica to Uyuni without interruption.

With the support of his team and a well-equipped car providing essentials such as food, clothing, and water, he embarked on this adventure.
