Shields won her first professional belts (WBC and IBF super middleweight) in her fourth fight, against Nikki Adler on 4 August 2017. She dropped down to middleweight to face Hanna Gabriels and claimed the WBA and IBF titles, before adding the vacant WBC title against Hannah Rankin. Shields completed the middleweight set with a unanimous decision against WBO champion Christina Hammer on 13 April 2019.
