Most wins of the points classification at the Tour de France

The most wins of the Tour de France’s points classification is 7, achieved by Peter Sagan (Slovakia) in 2012–16 and 2018–19.

Established as an additional classification in 1953, points are awarded to riders according to the position that they finish each stage, with additional points for intermediate sprints on offer during some stages. The rider heading the points classification traditionally wears the maillot vert (green jersey).
