The most consecutive Major League Soccer games in which a player has scored is 15, achieved by Josef Martínez (Venezuela) playing for Atlanta United between 24 May and 18 September 2019.
Martínez’s streak excluded Atlanta’s league games against Toronto and Montreal (26 and 29 June), when he was away on international duty, and the 3 July fixture against Chicago Fire, when he was not in the squad. It ended when he suffered a knee injury during the match against San Jose on 21 September 2019. Martínez scored a total of 26 goals in the course of his streak, believed to be the joint second-longest ever in top-flight domestic football, behind Lionel Messi’s 21-game scoring run for FC Barcelona in 2013/14.
