The fastest time to climb Lhotse then Everest without the use of supplementary oxygen is 1 day 23 hours 22 minutes by Piotr Jerzy Krzyżowski (Poland). He reached the peak of Lhotse (8,516 m; 27,940 ft) at 2.38 p.m. on 21 May 2024, and then crossed via the South Col (camp IV) to the top of Everest (8,848 m; 29,029 ft) at 2.00 p.m. on 23 May.
Krzyżowski also made his no-oxygen climb without the use of Sherpa support. He bettered the time of 6 days 20 hours established by Chilean climber Juan Pablo Mohr Prieto in May 2019. "Although I do not climb for records, and the single-push ascent of Lhotse and Everest was simply the fulfillment of one of my mountain dreams, it is still nice to find myself in the Guinness World Records," said Krzyżowski.
